From the first approach through the estate vineyards one can see why Cyrus Alexander located his homestead on this verdant, luscious spot in the Alexander Valley so many years ago and why, in 1962 the Wetzel family spotted the intrinsic fertile worth of this historic land and founded AVV, “growing green”. With a popular and tasty array of wines, including the whimsically named Sin Zin, this is truly THE Picnic Spot- on the covered porch, up the hillside above the caves or on the grassy area by the year-round creek.
