Rodney Strong was totally cool- a Sonoma County pioneer and innovative grower, winemaker, entertainment expert and a hoofer from way back; I saw him dance once and was just amazed- he could have been a star on Broadway. Rodney Strong Vineyards, conveniently located on the Old Redwood Highway in Healdsburg, is home to star wines, great self-guided or guided tours from dirt to done, picnic area right in the vines, TR with fun merchandise, tasting with expert hospitality staff and a Summer Music series that rocks- I saw Madeleine Peyroux here and I will NEVER forget that Sunday afternoon….outside venue, on the grass, Rodney Strong wines and snacks…and Madeleine- paradise. Home to many other special events, such as the famous chocolate Valentine bash, Rodney Strong accommodates, entertains and delights; there are two Wine Clubs to make you feel even more part of the fun- and check out the new ipads on the TR bar for all to use. The vines are close up and personal, here and in other RRV locations- Rodney Strong Vineyards produces wines that are well-known, complex, delicious and a value; some are perfect for everyday, and some are perfect for a very special occasion.
